TabVault Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-06-06
TabVault is built privacy-first. Your data stays on your device.
What TabVault stores
TabVault saves the sessions you choose to save - each session contains the URLs, titles, and pinned state of your tabs - plus your settings. All of this is stored locally on your computer using the browser's built-in storage (chrome.storage.local).
What TabVault does NOT do
- It does not require an account or login.
- It does not sync to any cloud or server.
- It does not collect analytics or telemetry.
- It does not track you.
- It does not read or store the content of the pages you visit - only tab titles, URLs, and pinned state.
- It does not sell or share any data with third parties.
Data transmission
TabVault makes no network requests for its core features. No tab data, session data, or browsing data ever leaves your device.
Payments (Pro)
If you purchase TabVault Pro, payment is handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. To verify your purchase, the extension contacts extensionpay.com using an anonymous identifier. TabVault never sees or stores your payment details - those are handled by Stripe. No browsing, tab, or session data is sent during this check.
Removing your data
Uninstalling TabVault removes all of its locally stored data. You can also clear everything from the extension's Settings page ("Clear all data").
