Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-06-10

NeverRetype is built privacy-first. Your documents and your data stay on your device.

How NeverRetype handles your PDFs

PDFs you open with NeverRetype are read, displayed, filled, and saved entirely inside your browser on your computer. The document is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared - NeverRetype has no server, and the extension's only permission is local storage. The filled copy you download is created on your device.

What NeverRetype stores

NeverRetype stores, locally on your computer using the browser's built-in storage (chrome.storage.local):

Profiles can contain personal information you typed (for example your name and address). They exist only on your device, and you can delete any profile in the extension at any time.

What NeverRetype does NOT do

Data transmission

NeverRetype makes no network requests for its core features. No document data, form data, profile data, or signature data ever leaves your device.

Payments (Pro)

If you purchase NeverRetype Pro, payment is handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. When you open the payment or "Restore purchase" page, the extension contacts extensionpay.com using an anonymous identifier to confirm your purchase. NeverRetype never sees or stores your payment details - those are handled by Stripe. No document, form, profile, or signature data is sent during this check.

Removing your data

You can delete saved profiles and your remembered signature inside the extension at any time. Uninstalling NeverRetype removes all of its locally stored data.
